The Octopus is a fish that can be found in the ocean during the Summer. The Octopus can also be found randomly in Garbage Cans in Summer. It can also randomly rotate into daily stock at the Traveling Cart for 
450-1,000g.
This is one of the most difficult fish to catch in the game, even compared to Legendary Fish. To make it even more demanding, the odds of an octopus biting is very rare, and the window of time available to catch it is comparatively small. The most sure-fire tactic is maxing out your fishing skill, equip the Iridium Rod, use a Dish o’ The Sea, and attaching a Trap Bobber to your fishing pole. Using a combination of a maxed out fishing skill and the Iridium Rod is often insufficient.
