Stardew Valley: Marnie

Stardew Valley is not only about farming. This game allows you to spend your time however you want. For example, you can walk in the woods, searching for some interesting items. You can also fish, kill monsters in the mines, and go to the Saloon… However, such a life may be not really fun without friends. Stardew Valley game allows you to become friends with any villager. All you need is just give people gifts, and they will like you. It’s simple, isn’t it?

You can give each villager up to two gifts every week. However, such a limit may vary, since if it’s somebody’s birthday, and you’ve already given this character two gifts, you still can give a birthday present. Birthday presents cause an increased effect on your friendship. You earn friendship points, when somebody likes your gifts, and you lose these points, when your gift is not exactly what they like. Some gifts may also cause neutral reaction, so you won’t earn nor lose friendship points.

Marnie schedule

In this article, we will tell you about Marnie. She lives at Marnie’s ranch, which is southwest from Pelican Town. Jas and Shane also live there with her. Marnie runs her shop, where you can buy some inventory, such as Shears, Milk Pail, Hay, and Heater. The shop is open every day (except Monday and Tuesday), from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. She also sells livestock. In her shop, you can buy Goat, Chicken, Sheep, Cow, Duck, Pig, and Rabbit. If you want to buy an animal, you will have to choose a building where you will place it. If your building is upgrading now, you won’t be able to buy animals.



Marnie really loves animals. She even feels uncomfortable taking chicken’s eggs. Another fun fact about Marnie is related to the Mayor of Stardew Valley, Lewis. Some players ask whether it’s possible to marry Marnie, or not. The point is that during the Flower dance, she may say that she’s single. But some facts suggest otherwise. Mayor Lewis often visits her, explaining it with some “business needs”. You can often see Lewis and Marnie sitting in the Saloon, and drinking together. Finally, the most interesting fact is that you can find Stardew Valley Mayors shorts in her room. If it’s not funny enough for you, we will say that these shorts are purple.

Marnie also has other friends. She likes to workout at Pierre’s General Store with Robin, Caroline, Emily, and Jodi.

Stardew Valley Gifts Guide: Marnie Edition

As we mentioned above, if you want to become friends with Marnie, you need to give her gifts. Thus, we made a list of good and bad gifts. Don’t forget to give her birthday presents (on Fall 18^th), since these presents will have 8 times more impact on your friendship.

Marnie loves all gifts from the Universal Loves category, such as Prismatic Shard, or Rabbit’s Foot. She would really appreciate Pumpkin Pie, Diamond, Pink Cake, and Farmer’s Lunch. Marnie also likes Quartz and all items from the Universal Likes category.

Marnie would be completely neutral to Dandelion, Chanterelle, Daffodil, Common Mushroom, Winter Root, Leek, Purple Mushroom, Snow Yam, Hazelnut, and Morel.

We suggest you not to give her Wild Horseradish, Salmonberry, Clay, Seaweed, and Holly. Such presents will only decrease your friendship with Marnie.

When you two become friends, Marnie will start sending you gifts and interesting recipes. The better your friendship, the more chances you get to receive a gift. Once you got six hearts in the scale of your friendship, you will have a chance to see Lewis and Marnie together. Just enter the town on a sunny day, from 7 PM to 11 PM. You will see them behind Mayor’s house, talking about their relations. Lewis will talk about his job, and that they can’t tell people about their romantic relations, since it may affect his reputation. They will be really surprised to see you, so just tell them that you will keep their little secret. Note that this event unlocks only if you have six hearts with Lewis as well.
