Stardew Valley Skull Cavern Guide

The skull Cavern is located in the Northwest of the Desert. , You need the skull key to get access of Skull Cavern. Once you get in the Cavern, you will receive a letter from Mr., QI, and that is where the challenge begins. It is completed by reaching on level 25 where the winner gets 10,000g. The game is about passing a numerous levels or floors by searching for a ladder on every level. You also might need to mine rocks or fight against enemies to pass the levels. It is also possible the runner finds a hole or a shaft that helps getting passed through 3-15 floors all together. IF the runner jumps off the shaft it may cause damage and there are no mines to save the progress. You will need to start again from the first floor. If the runner loses health or a life, they will wake up in Harvey’s clinic after some time and a fee of 1000g will be deducted for emergency surgery along with the loss of a few items.

After every ten floors, the chances of finding Iridium increase considerably. The monsters also will to drop Iridium or ore bars on the runner. At that moment the Lava Katana or Galaxy sword is good to fight against such enemies as they are pretty strong.  At this same level the chances increases of ladders/holes, item drops and ore veins’ appearance.  With full bags of stones, it is possible to run down to floor 300 and more.

The skull key is found in level 120 of the game in the mine. You need key to open up access to Calico Dessert to reach the Skull Cavern.

Though it seems there are never ending levels and floors in Skull Cavern. The first 100 ladders are to be taken without any hesitance.  Not any specific trick is applied to cross it. Levels from 100 to 500 mainly focus on the pitfalls.  With the frequency of increased pitfalls, you need to spam ladders.

Quest

There are three quests to be encountered in the game. QI’s challenge being the first to unlock the Cavern, The Mysterious Qi – asks to place a battery pack in the lock box, inside the bus tunnel. The third Quest is Rainbow shell to be placed in the train station box and the Fourth Quest to put 10 beets in Lewi’s Fridge.

How deep is skull cavern?

The deeper you go, the tougher it gets. There seems to be unlimited levels, but it gets quite tough to fight strong enemies.  Many of the players have returned back after reaching 400+ game levels, then they totem back home but the ride is awesome. The game is thrilling and comes with never ending enemies in all shapes and sizes. Most players use ladders to skip levels and get deeper in Cavern but many use bombs as well.  It is practically possible to play game until the health is safe and there are a lot of items to give you energy.
