Stardew Valley Barn
A Barn is one of many Stardew Valley buildings that you can buy or upgrade at the Carpenter’s Shop. If you buy a Barn, Robin will build it in three days, while an upgrade takes only two days. You can use a Barn to house sheep, cows, pigs, and goats. If you build a Barn that is necessary for a particular animal, it unlocks, and you’ll be able to house such animals in any other non-upgraded Stardew Valley Barn, as well. If you want to build a Deluxe Barn from scratch, it will cost you 43,000 gold, 1,350 wood, and 650 stone. However, if you’ve bought stone and wood from Robin during your first year on the farm, it will cost you 69,500 gold.
Always keep your eye on the barn doors: at night, some of your animals may get stuck outside when the doors are closed. In this case, the animal’s mood will be “grumpy” the next day. Such animals are also easy prey for Wild Animals. Wild Animal Attacks occur with a 50% chance at night. Here’s the algorithm for every building: first, the game generates a random number between 0 and 1. The obtained number is compared to 1/n, where n is the number of your buildings. If the generated number is larger, there’s no need to worry. Therefore, the more buildings you have, the less likely each particular building will be attacked. For example, a building has a 50% chance of being attacked if you have two buildings, and a 25% chance if you have four Stardew Valley buildings in total.
