Stardew Valley: Jodi
As you may have noticed, it’s not so fun to be alone. And we are talking not only about the real life, but about Stardew Valley as well. There are many people living in Pelican Town, they have their own experience, which sometimes may be helpful for you. For example, many villagers will send you letters with new recipes as soon as you earn a certain amount of friendship points with them. Ok, we know that it sounds too complicated, so let’s start with the basics.
You can become friends with any villager, and to do it, you have to know only two things: gifts they like, and where to find them at any time. Basically, any friendship here is based on proper gifts. If you found a villager which you want to become friends with, give this character two gifts every week, and you will see how you earn new friendship points for each one of them. Stardew Valley birthday gifts are most important because they cause an increased effect on your friendship. However, you must choose gifts carefully, because if a character doesn’t appreciate your gift, you will lose friendship points (as for birthday gifts, such a loss may be quite significant).
In this article, we are going to talk about Jodi. She lives in Pelican Town, and she has two kids –Vincent and Sam. Caroline is her best friend, and sometimes they, along with other ladies, take exercise classes. She’s already married to Kent, so you cannot marry her, but maybe you’ll become best friends? First of all, let’s talk about Stardew Valley best gifts for Jodi.
Stardew Valley Gift Guide: Jodi Edition
As we mentioned above, you can give any villager two gifts per week. In case you’ve already done it, but today is his or her birthday, you can give an extra present. Jodi’s birthday is Fall 11.
Jodi loves all items classified as Universal Loves. She would also really appreciate Diamond, Chocolate Cake, Fried Eel, Vegetable Medley, Eggplant Parmesan, Crispy Bass, Rhubarb Pie, and Pancakes. Jodi also likes all Milk, Fruits, and Eggs (except Spice Berry and Void Egg).
Jodi would react neutrally to items from the Universal Neutral category, and she certainly doesn’t like Leek, Garlic, Chanterelle, Quartz, Winter Root, Holly, Wild Horseradish, Common Mushroom, Morel, Hazelnut, and Snow Yam.
We suggest never giving Jodi Spice Berry, Daffodil, or Dandelion unless you want her to hate you.
Jodi Relationship Guide
Friendship points that you earn are summarized and displayed as a scale of hearts. If you have more than zero hearts with Jodi, prepare to receive a gift from her (it will be mailed to you). A probability of receiving a gift increases as your friendship develops. Heart points also allow you to unlock special dialogues.
The two-heart event occurs in Jodi’s room. You will find a letter from Kent, where he tells Jodi that he changed in the army, and he has seen many bad things. He also asks Jodi to never forget that she and kids are most important to him, no matter how he acts. Kent serves in the army during your first year in Stardew Valley. He returns home in spring of a second year, but Jodi and Vincent don’t realize that he’s back for some time.
Once you got three hearts with Jodi, she will send you the Fried Calamari recipe. This dish boosts your energy by 80 points and health by 36 points. It also can be sold for 150 gold.
The four-heart event triggers when you leave your farm from 6 AM to 9:30 AM, to meet Jodi who is waiting for you. Jodi will invite you to a dinner, and ask you to bring a Largemouth Bass. She will use this fish to make a casserole.
The seven-heart event is another recipe, this time it will be Ice Cream. It increases your energy by 100 points and health by 45 points. You can also sell it for 120 gold.
Jodi Quests
When you have friends, it allows you to enjoy various quests.
On Spring 19th, you’ll receive a letter from Jodi, where she asks you to bring her Cauliflower. Do it and you will earn another friendship heart, as well as 350 gold.
We already mentioned “Fish Casserole” quest. You’ll have to bring Jodi a Largemouth Bass, and then you’ll have a dinner with her and her kids. However, you won’t be rewarded for it.
Sometimes Jodi, as well as other villagers, may ask you to bring her a random item. Go to Pierre’s General Store, and you will see a “Help Wanted” board outside. In fact, it’s your chance to complete some quests when you have free time. Villagers request some items, and you get rewarded by a triple basic price of the item, plus 150 friendship points with a character who did a request.
