Stardew Valley: Wizard
Stardew Valley game is a unique place where even the most extraordinary characters live. You can find some good friends among inhabitants, and one of them is a real magician. The Wizard lives in his tower west of Cindersap Forest. He never leaves this tower, so you can find him there every day, from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Wizard knows many ancient languages, so he is the man who can help you understand Junimos. You’ll receive a letter from him as soon as you find the Golden Scroll in the Community Center.
When you come to the Wizard tower, you must see a full scene about Wizard. If it doesn’t happen, this means that the game has no record of you meeting him. In this case, bundles will unlock, but your friendship and dialogs with the Wizard will activate only after your next visit. Usually, you are unable to find the Wizard on festivals, but he has unique dialogues for each celebration though.
The Wizard was married to the Witch. He is a friend of Linus, and has a little secret: he will tell you to not tell anyone that he has a daughter in the village. Details of dialogue between Pierre and Caroline clearly point to Abigail, but who knows for sure?
Once you reached four Friendship hearts with the Wizard, you get access to the basement of his tower. In this place, you can change the appearance of your character for 500 gold.
Stardew Valley Gift Guide: The Wizard Edition
If you want to become friends with the Wizard, you have to give him right gifts. If the character loves or likes your gifts, you earn Friendship points. Otherwise, you lose Friendship points. The Wizard’s birthday is Winter 17th, and we suggest preparing a good birthday gift because the impact of such gifts on your friendship is multiplied by 8.
The Wizard loves Solar Essence, Rabbit’s Foot, Purple Mushroom, Void Essence, Prismatic Shard, and Super Cucumber. He likes Quartz and Geode Minerals of any kind, as well as items liked by the majority of villagers.
The Wizard will react completely neutral if you give him Fruits or items from the Universal Neutrals category.
Don’t give him such items as Daffodil, Holly, Slime, Winter Root, Chanterelle, Snow Yam, Hazelnut, Common Mushroom, Wild Horseradish, Dandelion, Leek, and Morel.
The Wizard also hates all universally hated gifts.
Quests
As we mentioned above, the first quest related to the Wizard is his help in learning the language of Junimos.
On Winter 12th, the Wizard will ask you to bring him a Void Essence. Do it, and earn 1,000 gold, along with a Friendship heart.
During your second year in Stardew Valley, on Winter 5th, he will also ask you to bring him an Iridium Bar. Complete this quest, and get another Friendship heart and 5,000 gold.
When you complete all bundles for the Community Center or sign the agreement with Joja, you will unlock a dialogue with the Wizard, where he will ask you to find a Dark Talisman. To do it, you have to get to the Bug Lair. First, go to the Sewers, and ask Krobus to help you. He will remove the field that blocks the entrance to the Mutant Bug Lair. Get the talisman, and bring it to the Railroad, where you started this quest. The Dark Talisman unlocks the cave, and by going inside, you can get a teleportation rune. This thing allows you to visit the Witch’s Swamp. Once you got into the Witch’s Swamp, you unlock another quest, which is called “Goblin Problem”.
Another Wizard quest is the “Goblin Problem”. A huge goblin guard will block the entrance to the Witch Hut. You can pass through him if you give him Void Mayonnaise, because goblins really love this black stinking paste. In the Dark Shrines, you can recover the Magic Ink. Bring it to the Wizard’s Tower, and he will unlock four Wizard buildings for your Farm.
Sometimes the Wizard may ask you to kill some Monsters. He also leaves his requests on the “Help Wanted” board, along with other villagers. You can find this board outside the Pierre’s General Store. The value of the items from the board is increased three times, and these requests also give you an opportunity to earn 150 Friendship points.
